Centre Mersenne for open scientific publishing presents Journal de théorie des nombres de Bordeaux
A public publishing infrastructure at the service of the community, implemented by the Mathdoc cell1 , Centre Mersenne offers access to 21 journals, 14 of which in mathematics (see member journals), that you can read free of charge and in which, again free of charge, you can publish your best papers. Journal de théorie des nombres de Bordeaux
The Journal de théorie des nombres de Bordeaux (JTNB) is a peer-reviewed journal, which publishes original papers in all areas of number theory. Each year, three issues, i.e. about 1000 pages, are published both in print and in electronic form. As of 2017, access to the electronic version is free and open, with no subscription required. The journal is indexed by MathSciNet, zbMATH Open, Scopus and Science Citation Index-Expanded. The average delay between the submission of an article and its actual publication in a fascicle is about one year and a half. Some issues include original papers submitted to conferences, such as Thue 150 (2013), Function fields, zeta functions and Drinfeld modular forms (2015) and Iwasawa 2019 (to be published).
The editorial team of JTNB consists of a managing editor, an international editorial board, and a scientific committee. The editorial board, composed of renowned experts in number theory, currently consists of 12 male and 4 female editors. At the time of submission, authors are invited to choose a member of the editorial board whom they consider to be thematically closest to the subject of the article. The first evaluation is done by the selected editor, who may be supported by quick expert opinions. The selected articles are sent to the reviewers for a detailed evaluation. The final decisions are taken by consensus by the scientific committee on the basis of the opinions and reports received and the recommendations of the editors.
The Journal de Théorie des Nombres de Bordeaux (JTNB) was born from the publications - between 1969 and 1988 - of the proceedings of the Bordeaux number theory seminar. The texts of the lectures, sent by the lecturers, were typed, mimeographed, collected in volumes and sent to the authors, to the various mathematical institutes of France and to the persons who wished to receive them. These volumes have been digitized and are available online through the German server DigiZeitschriften. The publications of the seminar led to the creation in 1989 of a journal which was called the Séminaire de Théorie des Nombres de Bordeaux and changed its name to JTNB in 1993. Since 2005, the journal is published by the Société Arithmétique de Bordeaux (SAB) - a non-profit association, mostly composed of Bordeaux arithmeticians. Although the publication of the journal is the main objective of the SAB, the association also supports the organization of conferences and colloquiums in Number Theory both in France and abroad.
