The INSMI welcomes its new Director

Pascal Auscher was appointed Director of the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences and their Interactions (INSMI) of the CNRS on August 28th, 2017.

A Professor at University Paris Sud since 2002, Pascal Auscher is a specialist in hamonic analysis. He contributed to the wavelet theory and to PDEs and participated in the demonstration of the Kato conjecture.

Alongside his research, Pascal Auscher directed the Laboratoire Amiénois de mathématique fondamentale et appliquée (LAMFA) from 2000 to 2002, took active part in the evaluation and accreditation agency of laboratories and higher education (formerly MSTP, then AERES, now HCERES) and is very much involved in the development of European networks and international relationships.
