"Simulation and Modeling: Less is More"

CNRS News publishes "Simulation and Modeling: Less is More", an interview of Frédéric Alexandre, a researcher at the LaBRI, Laboratoire bordelais en recherche informatique (CNRS/Univ. Bordeaux/Bordeaux INP), on the latest developments and limits of current research in modeling and simulation.

To represent reality more accurately, is it better to simplify models and simulations or make them more complex ?

Frédéric Alexandre gave a lecture at the symposium “Modeling: Successes and Limitations” on December 6, 2016 in Paris. The symposium tackled the question: what do the terms “modeling” and “simulation” mean in today’s research? The slides of the lectures are online on the Insmi's French website.
