A tribute to Ahmad El Soufi
On February 17th, 2017 in Tripoli, the International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA) will pay tribute to the mathematician Ahmad El Soufi.
Ahmad El Soufi was a Professor at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques et Physique Théorique in Tours (France) and had been directing it for 5 years. He was a very active member of the International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA). A researcher in spectral geometry, he had collaborations all over the world and had supervised many PhD students. He was buried in Lebanon on January 10th.
On the occasion of the CIMPA School "Graph Theory", which will take place in Lebanon on February 13th-22nd, a special day of tribute is organised at the Chambre de Commerce, d’Industrie et d’Agriculture with the participation of several national and international institutions.
