Les International Emerging Actions
The IEAs are a tool for international cooperation shared by the CNRS, helping to explore new themes and new international partnerships.
This scheme is based on subjects raised by the community and involves pairs (a project leader in France working with a project leader abroad). The aim may be to explore new fields of research and new international partnerships through short-term missions, the organisation of working meetings and the initiation of initial joint research work based on a shared scientific project. However, the Insmi also supports projects that help to better structure existing collaboration, bearing in mind that this may be preliminary to the setting up of a future 5-year IRP or IRN project. All themes and all countries considered. An annual call for applications is launched by the CNRS Europe and International Department in June, with online submission until September. Applications are then evaluated by experts and the final selection is made in December. Selected projects receive their funding from the Institute in January.
